Abstract

IBM® Watson is a cognitive computing system that won the game show Jeopardy (in 2011)! The system used natural language processing and machine learning to return answers based on question analysis, hypothesis generation, and candidate answer confidence scoring. This technology is evolving and being applied to healthcare, financial services, and customer service. However, data is key to the success of such systems, and quality content can improve usefulness and accuracy. What can you do to help ensure your content is ready for the era of cognitive computing? Attend to see a demo of Watson and learn content best practices.
