Federal Reserve Board

Comtech assisted the editorial staff at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve to assess their business requirements for component and web content management systems. We conducted a detailed analysis of requirements, including a content analysis of the information delivered to the Web and print. Users of the information produced by the Board found the information difficult to find, while the creators of the content handled many of the tasks for creating Web and print manually, which meant that much of the effort to create Web content was duplicated after the print content was created. Comtech provided the Board recommendations for improving the processes and recommended a course of action for acquiring a content management system that would handle the Fed’s complex editorial and publishing requirements for both print and web output.

Content analysis

Comtech conducted a content analysis of the information delivered to the Web and print by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. The board is a federal agency tasked with providing oversight to the twelve reserve banks and creating many of the policies that govern and influence the U.S. economy. Users of the information produced by the Board found the information difficult to find, while the creators of the content handled many of the tasks for creating Web and print manually, which meant that much of the effort to create Web content was duplicated after the print content was created. Comtech provided the Board recommendations for improving the processes in addition to recommendations for content management tools to create from the same source 508-compliant Web and print content.
